May is Speech & Hearing Month and I Feel Good!
TORONTO, May 5 /CNW/ - VOICE hosts its 20th annual "I Feel Good" Conference on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario. This 1-day conference introduces families and professionals, who support hearing-impaired children, to new approaches in helping children who are deaf or hard of hearing learn to listen and to speak. Yes! Thanks in large part to advanced hearing technologies and the VOICE Auditory-Verbal Therapy Program, Deaf kids are learning to talk!
Along with representatives from Cochlear Canada, Advanced Bionics, RIM, Oticon Canada, Phonak Canada, and VOICE AV Therapists, the conference features workshops from international presenters on the topic of social emotional well-being for children with hearing loss. VOICE Alumna and race car driver, Kris Martin, will inspire teens with hearing loss from across Ontario at the Teen Leadership Program.
