Mayor Claude Trudel Reacts to the Loss of Four Lives in a Major Fire in
Verdun
VERDUN, QC, March 28 /CNW Telbec/ - Claude Trudel, Verdun Borough Mayor and member of the Executive Committee responsible for public safety and security in Ville de Montréal, expressed his dismay over the news of the death of four Verdunites, including a young child of 7 years old, in a fire that destroyed their home early this morning.
"The Borough Council members, as well as the entire Verdun population, join me in extending our most heartfelt condolences to the grief-stricken family and assuring them of our support in this terrible tragedy that has overcome them," stated Mayor Trudel.
The Mayor also paid tribute to the excellent work done by the firefighters at the time of this incident.
