Mayor John Tory Proclaims December 17-24 "Salvation Army Week" in the City of Toronto
TORONTO, Dec. 17, 2018 /CNW/ - Today, on behalf of Toronto City Council, Mayor John Tory declares December 17-24, 2018 as "Salvation Army Week" in Toronto.
At 10:00 a.m., The Salvation Army will raise their 'Giving Hope Today' flag at the Courtesy Flag pole at Toronto City Hall. On behalf of Mayor John Tory, City Councillor Michael Ford will proclaim Salvation Army Week and be available for interviews with the media.
With an annual Christmas Kettle campaign goal of $3 million in the Greater Toronto Area, Mayor John Tory encourages everyone to support The Salvation Army as they continue to assist vulnerable individuals and families through the Christmas season and year-round.
