McDonald's New Brand Transformation Creates Over 400 Local Jobs
WINNIPEG, Aug. 23, 2016 /CNW/ - Today, McDonald's restaurants from Winkler to Thompson invite Manitobans to enjoy the new modernized restaurant experience. As part of its brand transformation, McDonald's Canada has evolved its menu, ordering processes and employee roles to provide local guests with a more personalized and customizable dining experience. McDonald's Canada and its franchisees are investing between $200,000 and $250,000 and are hiring around 10 to 15 new employees in each of the 29 participating restaurants, creating as many as 435 local jobs throughout Manitoba.
"Each and every day our teams look forward to serving our local and visiting guests – but today we open our doors with even more excitement," said Shelly Hansen, Western Regional Vice President, McDonald's Canada. "From crew members to restaurant managers to franchisees, we're ready to introduce Manitobans to our Create Your Taste™ burger concept and our new Restaurant Experience of the Future."
Using self-order kiosks, guests can choose from the Create Your Taste™ menu with two types of buns or a lettuce wrap, five types of cheese, 12 toppings, including guacamole, caramelized onions and hickory-smoked bacon strips, and nine sauces. Guests can also look forward to a fresh new McCafé® Bakery offering, featuring authentic French croissants and Mini Chocolatines filled with chocolate in every bite.
"We believe every moment at McDonald's should be a memorable one. That's why our Guest Experience Leaders are now on hand to provide our guests with the warmth and genuine hospitality McDonald's is known for," continued Hansen. "From hello to goodbye, our Guest Experience Leaders are ready to help you choose between self-order kiosks or counter service, assist with finding your seats, and provide table delivery service."
