MD Physician Services Statement Regarding a Fire at its Ottawa Office

OTTAWA, Jan. 3, 2013 /CNW/ - MD Physician Services today issued the following statement:

Early this morning, a fire occurred in the front lobby of MD Physician Services' head office at 1870 Alta Vista Drive in Ottawa.  The fire was controlled and extinguished by Ottawa Fire Services.

MD has been able to confirm that all employees who were in the building at the time of the fire were safely evacuated with no injuries reported. No client data has been compromised and clients will not experience any service interruptions.

MD is notifying its employees who work at Alta Vista Drive that the office is closed today and that they should work from home.

MD has not been advised of the cause of the fire.

MD thanks all emergency services for their efforts at containing the fire and ensuring the safety of all MD employees.
