MILTON, ON, March 22, 2016 /CNW/ - Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Greater Toronto Area Financial Crime Unit would like to invite the media and the public to a fraud awareness symposium.
Fraudsters rob hard-working Canadians of their earnings and undermine the economic security and trust in institutions.
This symposium will raise awareness and provide preventive information related to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) frauds, Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) frauds and counterfeit currency with a specific focus on those frauds that target newcomers to Canada.
Representatives from the RCMP, CRA, IRCC, the Bank of Canada and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre will be in attendance.
After a formal presentation, representatives will be available to the media and the public for a question and answer session.

Parking will be available; free of charge for guests and media. All members of the public and the media will be required to sign-in. WiFi and live broadcasting will not be available in the auditorium.
