TORONTO, March 28, 2012 /CNW/ - Media are invited to attend Women in Business April 18 - 19, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency in Toronto where Rt. Hon. Michaëlle Jean, 27th Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada will present a keynote address to celebrate Canadian women's contribution to business and society.
The Rt. Hon. Michaëlle Jean is the current UNESCO Special Envoy for Haiti, and Co-President of the Michaëlle Jean Foundation, and will speak about her vision and passion for women in leadership. Rounding out the conference attendees will hear from experts on two morning panel discussions: the first moderated by Glain Roberts-McCabe, Founder and President of The Executive Roundtable who will discuss the secrets to getting promoted; the second moderated by Anne Golden, President and CEO of The Conference Board of Canada who will speak with women in senior management - where they are now and how they did it. In the afternoon, delegates will talk candidly with Beata Caranci, Vice President and Deputy Chief Economist TD Bank Financial Group as she shares her vision for tomorrow's economy. Lori Wilson, Principal, EHP Enterprises will then help delegates work through the changes that are required for the new economy. The conference will then close with a thought-provoking discussion with Dr. Samantha Nutt, Founder and Executive Director, War Child Canada/War Child U.S.A.
