Media Advisory - Government of Canada to Announce Winners of NSERC Science Promotion Individual and Group Awards

OTTAWA, May 12, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, will announce the winners of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Individual and Group Awards for Science Promotion at a Science Odyssey appreciation event on Monday, May 15. She will be joined by Dr. B. Mario Pinto, President of NSERC.

Just before the announcement, Minister Duncan and Dr. Pinto will celebrate the work of science promoters, who will invite attendees to interact with their exhibits.

Media are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign in at the reception desk.

The event will feature plenty of visual content for broadcast and social media stories, along with the opportunity to interview Minister Duncan, NSERC representatives, and award winners.
