Media Advisory - Team Revolution cycling team gets ready to hit Toronto streets to train and fundraise $1 million for the NEW Humber River Hospital at the Granfondo Scott Piacenza in Italy
TORONTO, May 21, 2014 /CNW/ - Join Toronto's most fit and philanthropic business leaders as they officially launch Team Revolution 2014 at Switch Lounge in downtown Toronto. Our team of 75 passionate cyclists from across many different disciplines in the city is committed to conquering the Granfondo Scott Piacenza all in the name of Humber River Hospital.
Each team member must train and fundraise in order to earn their spot on the Team. All funds raised by the team members will go towards the building and equipping of the new Humber River Hospital, set to open in the Fall of 2015 at Keele Street and Highway 401 in Toronto.
The Team has pledged to raise $1 million over 3 years for the new Hospital. In recognition of their gift, the new hospital's piazza will officially be named "Team Revolution Piazza."
