MARKHAM, ON, May 9, 2014 /CNW/ - The RCMP recognizes the importance of recruiting applicants from a wide range of backgrounds to reflect our Canadian population. On June 7th and 8th, the RCMP Recruiting Section will be working with the Community Crime Awareness Association (CCAA) to showcase the Asian Community Policing Experience 2014.
This event is a community initiative organized by the CCAA with participation by numerous Police Services. The event allows for Police and the community to learn and work together. This two day event offers members of the community the opportunity to participate in mentoring workshops, practical exercises and exposure to specialized Police Units. The event is designed to introduce candidates to a career in policing.
