Media advisory - 2017 Rock 'n' Roll Oasis Montreal Marathon and ½ Marathon: Media instructions and accreditation Français
MONTREAL, Aug. 30, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - The Rock 'n' Roll Oasis Montreal Marathon team gladly welcomes members of the media at the starting line, and will take every possible measure to facilitate your work. For security reasons and to ensure that operations run smoothly, we ask that you please follow the volunteers' and security officers' instructions on event day.

Media accreditation and parking
Parking is free for members of the media, upon presentation of the media pass that you will have received. Media parking is located on the North side of the towers, under the Jacques Cartier Bridge.
Access to the Jacques Cartier Bridge from Montreal
Start - Marathon (42.2 km course): 8:30 AM, on Jacques Cartier Bridge.
Start - ½ Marathon (21.1 km course): 8:30 AM, on Jacques Cartier Bridge.
Members of the media may drive their vehicles onto the Jacques Cartier Bridge from Montreal to get to the towers and/or starting line at all times – by showing their vehicle accreditation pass. Once you get to the bridge deck, near the starting line, follow the directions provided by the security officers and volunteers; they will guide you to the correct location based on your time of arrival. Vehicle accreditation passes can be obtained by writing to [email protected] before September 20th. No vehicle will be admitted on the bridge without this pass.
Access to the Jacques Cartier Bridge from Longueuil
The Jacques Cartier Bridge will be accessible from Sainte-Hélène Street, at the intersection of Saint-Hélène and Saint-Laurent. On the bridge, a police officer will guide you. The bridge will be accessible from Longueuil until 7:00 AM. We will allow television cameras and photographers to set up in front of the starting line up to five minutes before race time.
Media Section: Finish Line
A section reserved for the media will be located at the Espace confort Oasis Hospitality Lounge, at the race finish site in La Fontaine Park. Electrical outlets will be available, but Wi-Fi will not be available inside the tent.
