Media Advisory - 438 ETAH welcomes a new Commanding Officer

LONGUEUIL, QC, Aug. 13 /CNW Telbec/ - Command of 438 Tactical Helicopter Squadron will officially change during a ceremony in the Squadron's Hon Hangar. Hartland de Montarville Molson garrison St-Hubert on Saturday, August 14 at 11 a.m.

Lieutenant Colonel René Therrien will take command of 438 THS from Lieutenant-colonel Luc Martineau. The 1 Wing Commander Brigadier General Christopher Coates will preside over the ceremony

LCol Martineau has been the Commanding Officer since August 27, 2005. He leaves the unit to take a position with the Director of Air Reserve and will remain in the Montreal area.

Last year 438 ETAH celebrated its 75 Anniversary and its years of support to the public whether in domestic operations such as Vancouver 2010, floods and the ice storm or international operation such as Haiti, Afghanistan and other NATO peacekeeping missions.
