Media advisory - A serious crime victim asks the Canadian Government to intervene in order to protect her Français
OTTAWA, Feb. 9, 2012 /CNW/ - Ms. Sandra Dion will hold a press conference at 1:00 P.M. on February 9th, to inform the media of the outcome of her meeting with representatives of the federal Minister of Public Safety regarding the transfer of a criminal to a half-way house.
Ms. Dion will ask the Honourable Vic Toews to intervene so that her assailant, Laurent Minier, who brutally attacked her in Québec City in 2002, is not transferred to the Marcel-Caron half-way house, located within one kilometre of her home.
The President of the Québec City Police Brotherhood, Mr. Bernard Lerhe, will accompany Ms. Dion.
