Media Advisory - A Special Wish Granted in Sydney
The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada and MB2/Beaver Grant a Special Wish to a Local Child.
TORONTO, May 20 /CNW/ - You are invited to join us: On Friday May 21 at 2:30 pm, MB2/Beaver (45 Wabana Ct., Sydney, NS) will generously open their doors to Austen MacLellan, a 9-year-old suffering from severe hemophilia, for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
Austen's wish is sponsored by MB2/Beaver Joint Venture. Representatives from The Children's Wish Foundation and MB2/Beaver will present Austen and his family with a travel package to Walt Disney World.
Austen, who lives in Sydney Mines, requires needles, infusions and various prophylaxis treatments everyday. He understands how difficult it can be to live with hemophilia and is reminded everytime he plays hockey, which requires him to take extra infusions and precautionary measures. Despite the challenges he faces, Austen rarely complains. He works hard to excel in school, especially math, while working alongside his dad on a lobster boat.
Austen's wish is to take his family to Walt Disney World. MB2/Beaver and The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada have granted this simple wish with the hope that it will be remembered as inspiration for Austen's future successes.
Media are invited to join us for the wish presentation in the offices of MB2/Beaver.

The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada
Each year, thousands of Canadian children between the ages of 3 and 17 are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Since 1984, The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada has worked tirelessly to grant exceptional wishes to 15,000 children and their families.
This year, the Foundation expects to grant 1,000 new wishes as it commemorates 25 years of service across Canada. The Foundation has never refused a wish to an eligible child, and with the help of volunteers and generous donors, is able to grant nearly three wishes every day. Each wish is an individual adventure, carefully structured to meet the needs of a particular child and family. The Foundation is a grassroots charity with chapters in every province and territory.
