Media advisory - Aging, chronic disease and wellness the focus of the Conference Board of Canada's Health Summit in Toronto
TORONTO, Oct. 23, 2014 /CNW/ - On Thursday, October 23 and Friday, October24, 2014, health experts will gather to discuss the impact of aging, chronic disease and wellness on the sustainability of Canada's health care system.
In particular, Health Summit 2014 will explore how the system is misaligned with an aging population, as well as how the current delivery model can better address chronic care and prevention.
The Summit will also be the platform for releasing a new report on Friday, October 24. The report, Moving Ahead: The Economic Impact of Reducing Physical Inactivity and Sedentary Behaviour, looks at the economic and health benefits of increasing getting Canadians to sit less and move more.
