Flight builds YVR's and Air Canada's reputation as North America's premiere Asia-Pacific hub
RICHMOND, BC, June 1, 2016 /CNW/ - Vancouver International Airport (YVR) invites the media to celebrations inaugurating Air Canada's new, non-stop service to Brisbane, Australia, the first non-stop route between Brisbane and Canada. The iconic Spirit of Haida Gwaii: The Jade Canoe statue will be transformed into an Australian beach scene, on which the news conference will take place.

Speeches, interview opportunities and a visually rich public contest. Members of the public have been asked to attend the event in an Australian-themed costume, and one lucky participant drawn at the event will win Air Canada tickets to Brisbane. |

A uniformed Air Canada Dreamliner pilot and flight attendant will also be available for interviews about the Boeing 787 aircraft – the most technologically advanced passenger aeroplane – which is being used on the new route. |
