Media Advisory - Air New Zealand and YVR Celebrate 10 Years of Connecting Travelers with Haka Performance on Tarmac
RICHMOND, BC, Nov. 1, 2017 /CNW/ - Today, Air New Zealand and Vancouver International Airport (YVR) are celebrating 10 years of flying between Vancouver and Auckland with a Haka performance on the tarmac. Media will be provided with an airside photo/video opportunity to capture the Maori performance alongside Air New Zealand's 777-200 aircraft, followed by interviews with airline and airport officials. Air New Zealand recently announced a 20% increase in services between Vancouver and Auckland from January – July 2018, giving travelers more flexibility when flying between Canada and New Zealand. The increase also underscores the popularity of the route, and the importance of the Canadian market to Air New Zealand.
