CALGARY, May 8, 2017 /CNW/ - Alberta is set to host Canada's premier tourism business event - Rendez-vous Canada (RVC) - taking place in Calgary May 9-12, 2017. The BMO Centre will be buzzing with more than 1700 delegates representing 29 countries, coming together for more than 24,000 business appointments with Canadian tourism operators.
RVC 2017 represents significant immediate and long-term economic growth for local, provincial and national tourism businesses. Tourism is a central player in Alberta's economy; driving more than $8 billion in revenue, supporting 19,000 operators and employing 127,000 people in all corners of our province.
