Media Advisory - AMI-audio wins five international awards for outstanding programming
TORONTO, May 20, 2015 /CNW/ - Accessible Media Inc. (AMI) is pleased to announce that its AMI-audio channel was recently recognized in five categories at the 2014 International Association of Audio Information Services (IAAIS) awards, including four program of the year awards and one honourable mention.

In the Magazine Digest category, The Saturday Magazine Show featuring articles from Maclean's magazine was awarded program of the year. The episode was produced by Heather Hind, Bill Shackleton and Dawn Dickinson, and read by Matt Speirs and Neil Mathur.
In the Non-Reading Entertainment category, AMI-audio's original program Mosaic City was honoured with a program of the year win for an episode about blind fencing produced by Paula Dineen, Elaina Falcone and Technical Producer Peter Argyropoulos.
The two-part audio special AMI Goes to Washington was awarded program of the year in the On Location category. Hosted by Judy Maddren, the special was produced by Paul Daniel, Michael Iantorno, Jason Vermes and Bill Shackleton.
In the Drama and Dramatic Reading Category, AMI's first original audio play Thick and Thin won program of the year. The play was written by Joe Lamanna and produced and voiced by staff at the AMI Toronto office.
An honourable mention in the Consumer Information category was awarded to the Choice Words Accessible Travel episode produced by Joanne Richter and Michael Iantorno, and hosted by Jason Vermes.
