Media advisory - AMI kicks off the fall season with a programming lineup of tried and true suspense, comedy, Hollywood hits and homegrown originals
TORONTO, Sept. 6, 2012 /CNW/ - Accessible Media Inc. (AMI) announced today its schedule of programs for fall 2012 that features a combination of new and returning favourites, timeless classics and AMI originals.
AMI kicks off the fall season with three exciting new shows. Attitude is a half hour human interest series produced out of New Zealand that focuses on the lives of people living with disabilities. The series won numerous awards in 2012 for its significant contribution to improving the lives of disabled people and raising awareness for the challenges they encounter every day. Attitude premieres on September 10th and will air Monday through Thursday at 12:30pm, 4:30pm and 7:30pm. Titanic: Blood and Steele featuring Neve Campbell and Chris Noth debuts Thursday, September 20th at 9pm and Season One of The Borgias starring Jeremy Irons premieres on Sunday, September 23rd at 11pm and will air weekly in the same time slot.
Attention CSI fans! New this season on AMI, Season One of CSI:NY premieres on Tuesday, September 11th and will air every Tuesday through Friday at 1pm, 5pm and 8pm.
Catch Mac Taylor and his team of investigators as they solve gruesome murders in New York.
The suspense doesn't stop there, though. Tune in every weekend for AMI's detective marathon featuring a lineup of retro series including Matlock, Magnum P.I., Da Vinci's Inquest and the Rockford Files.
Weekdays on AMI will be consumed by the lifestyle genre including everything from home décor to renovation competitions. Beginning October 1st, kick back and relax with hosts Anna Olson (Fresh with Anna Olson), Sarah Richardson (Sarah's Cottage, Sarah's House, Sarah 101), Bryan Baeumler (Disaster DIY) and more as they entertain, enlighten and inspire.
For those who prefer a good chuckle, AMI has Mr. D. returning for another season along with Little Mosque on the Prairie, 18 to Life and more classic, All in the Family.
Grab the popcorn and cosy up on the couch for AMI's movie of the day. From comedies like Mrs. Doubtfire and The Birdcage, classics like Murder on the Orient Express and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and poignant films based on true stories including, More than Meets the Eye: The Joan Brock Story and Within These Walls, AMI offers a wide variety of Hollywood hits the entire family will enjoy.
AMI boasts a variety of original programming that will educate and fascinate. AMI's Sharp Focus specials hosted by D.J. Demers air every Friday at 7pm beginning in October. D.J. delivers a half hour of accessibility, research and investigative stories from AMI reporters across Canada. Accessibility in Action, an empowering show about people living with disabilities, returns for another season on September 13th. Each Wednesday (season one - repeat episodes) and Thursday (season two - all new episodes) at 7pm, host Joanne Smith welcomes athletes, artists, entertainers, political and business leaders who have overcome adversity and prospered.
