Media advisory - Anti-homophobia and anti-transphobia public service announcement to be launched
TORONTO, May 16, 2012 /CNW/ - On the eve of International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, the Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youth Line and coalition partners are launching a public service announcement addressing homophobia and transphobia. The public service announcement was created in collaboration with Réseau Access Network (Sudbury), Rainbow Youth Niagara, OK2BME (Kitchener-Waterloo), Native Youth Sexual Health Network, Canadian Federation of Students-Ontario, Regional HIV/AIDS Connection (London), Asian Arts Freedom School (Toronto) and Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa.
A comprehensive campus organizing guide and outreach materials for organizing anti-homophobia and anti-transphobia campaigns and initiatives produced in collaboration with the Canadian Federation of Students-Ontario will also be launched.
The Toronto launch will be a community event including representatives of the Youth Line and partner organizations who will make brief remarks and celebrate the launch.
