Media Advisory - Assembly of First Nations National Chief Atleo and Regional Chiefs to Address Media
OTTAWA, Jan. 23, 2013 /CNW/ - Assembly of First Nations (AFN) National Chief Shawn A-in-chut Atleo and AFN BC Regional Chief Jody Wilson-Raybould and AFN NB/PEI Regional Chief Roger Augustine will address media tomorrow during the BC Chiefs Meeting taking place at the Musqueam Community Recreation Centre in Vancouver, BC on January 24-25, 2013.

With the intensifying demand and opportunity to achieve justice, fairness and political, social and economic development for First Nations, National Chief Atleo will provide an update and set out expectations for next steps. National Chief Atleo will be resuming his full duties following a brief doctor-ordered medical leave, and will emphasize the way forward and the need to maintain momentum now to achieve real progress and transformative change for First Nations citizens.
Please note that a ceremony honoring National Chief Atleo will start around 9:15 am PST in Main Plenary. Media are asked to remain at back of the room to respect ceremony.
