Media advisory - Assembly of First Nations National Chief Presents First Nations Budget Priorities to House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance Français
OTTAWA, Sept. 28, 2016 /CNW/ - Assembly of First Nations (AFN) National Chief Perry Bellegarde will address the House of Commons' Standing Committee on Finance (FINA) at 5:00 pm Wednesday, September 28. The National Chief's appearance is part of the federal government's pre-budget consultations in advance of the 2017 budget. The National Chief will identify First Nations priorities and investments as part of a strategic approach to close the gap in the quality of life between First Nations and other citizens by building on investments made in the 2016 federal budget.
