National Chief Bellegarde will provide an assessment of the federal budget based on First Nations priorities and the need to close the gap in quality of life between First Nations and the rest of Canada.
The National Chief and AFN Regional Chiefs met with the federal Finance Minister in January 2016 to discuss First Nations' priorities in advance of the budget. AFN representatives presented directly to the federal standing committee on finance in February 2016.
