MONTREAL, April 19, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Ubisoft Montreal invites media representatives to the Award ceremony of the 2nd Game Lab competition, on Thursday April 19 at 5:45 PM at Autodesk.
The Game Lab required five teams from seven participating universities to develop a playable video game demo and the game's design document. On April 11th, teams presented their prototypes in front of a jury panel, made up of Ubisoft Montreal employees and an Autodesk member. The winners will officially be announced on Thursday, April 19. The awards ceremony aims to celebrate the teams' work as well as highlight their creativity and perseverance.

Members of the winning team for Best prototype and all distinction award recipients will be offered an internship at the Ubisoft Summer School, from May 3rd to June 22nd at Centre NAD. Interns will create a full video game using the winning prototype from Game Lab.
Game Lab and Ubisoft Summer School are part of Academia, a banner overseeing programs aimed at introducing and educating young people to the careers and production process of video games. Participation to Game Lab and Ubisoft Summer School can result in full-time jobs in Montreal's video game industry.
