WHERE: Vancouver Art Gallery (Georgia Street side)
WHY: At noon on Saturday, March 14, people across Canada will be gathering to protest Bill C-51: the federal government's new "secret police" law.
The Conservative government is trying to push through the proposed legislation, a law that would infringe on Canadians' civil liberties.

The Day of Action Against Bill C-51 – which grew from a grassroots movement and grassroots coalition – is a national day of events hosted in more than 65 cities across the country including: Vancouver, Victoria, Vernon, Port Moody, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Halifax, Antigonish NS, Toronto, Newmarket, Ottawa, London, Montreal and Sarnia.
The Day of Action is coordinated by the BCGEU.
BCGEU Treasurer Paul Finch will be speaking and emceeing the Vancouver event. He is available for interviews both before and after the event.
