CAMBRIDGE, ON, March 20, 2015 /CNW/ - The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), in collaboration with Export Development Canada (EDC), will lead a panel discussion on the automotive industry.
The breakfast event entitled, "How to Capitalize on the Current Automotive Industry Environment" will feature keynote speaker, Christian Bertrand, Sector Advisor -Automotive, EDC, who will share the latest industry findings, as well as insights into the risks and opportunities for business.
A panel discussion and question and answer session will follow. Panelists include Steven Oliver, Assistant Vice President - Business Development, BDC and Maria Stihovic, Trade Commissioner, Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD). They will also be joined by industry stakeholders, John Pavanel of Pavaco Plastics and Ray Finnie of Mechtron Innovations.
Topics explored include industry trends and forecasts, services offered by government agencies to support this sector, supply base insights (such as access to credit and payment terms), and production and sales trends in North America.
