Media advisory - Beverly Thomson, Trish Magwood and Meg Soper to welcome golfers at the Children's Aid Foundation's 14th Annual Women's Golf Classic
TORONTO, May 27, 2014 /CNW/ - Television co-host Beverly Thomson, culinary ambassador Trish Magwood and comedian Meg Soper will welcome participants at this year's Children's Aid Foundation's 14th Women's Golf Classic. For over 14 years, hundreds of senior executive and top philanthropic women from the Greater Toronto Area community have taken part in the annual golf tournament and to date have raised over $2.6 million for the Children's Aid Foundation. All funds raised go to the Children's Aid Foundation to improve the lives of Canada's abused and neglected children and youth currently or formerly supported by the child welfare system. The 14th Women's Golf Classic would not be possible without the generous support of CIBC, RBC, Borden Ladner Gervais, TD, BMO Nesbitt Burns, CI Financial, BMO Financial and CITI.

A staggering 76,000 of them live in foster homes or a residential facility. The mission of the Children's Aid Foundation is to fund programs that give them skills and hope for a promising future. With the support of generous donors, the Children's Aid Foundation works with child welfare agencies across Canada to provide funding for programs and services in the areas of prevention, education, enrichment, healing and recovery.
