Across Canada, nearly 60,000 Canadians are expected to remove up to 200 garbage trucks worth of trash
WHAT: As part of the launch of the TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, a drop-in kick-off cleanup event will be held in Calgary on September 19th, 2009. This free public cleanup event will feature refreshments, prizes and the opportunity for children to make their mark on the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation Kids Monster Mural. This year as many as 60,000 Canadians will work together from September 19-27 to remove nearly 200 garbage trucks worth of trash (more than 135,000 kilograms) from shorelines and waterways during the 16th annual TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup.
