QUÉBEC, Sept. 15 /CNW Telbec/ - The Naval Reserve of Canada, in partnership with Loblaw, WWF-Canada, the Québec Aquarium and the City of Québec, warmly invite the media to a press conference at the Scott Bridge, which passes over the Saint-Charles River, Thursday, September 16, at 10 a.m.
You will be provided with the details of the cleanup operation of the shores of the Duberger River, set for Saturday September 18. During the press conference, divers will be at work, including Mr. Roy, Director of the Québec Aquarium, diving under the Saint-Charles River to recover trash.
Among others, the following will participate in the press briefing: the Director of the Québec Aquarium, Mr. André Roy, the Officer in Charge of the Shoreline Cleanup for the Naval Reserve, Lieutenant(Navy) Serge Sabourin, the Chief of Operations for WWF-Canada, Ms. Marie-Claude Lemieux, as well as representatives from the Shoreline Cleanup at Loblaw, Québec City and la Société de la rivière Saint-Charles.
The sailors of the Naval Reserve units in Québec are proud of their involvement in this national conservation initiative, the Loblaw Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, the goal of which is to have a positive impact on our environment by removing harmful refuse from our beaches and shores.
