Media Advisory - CAMH President and CEO Dr. Catherine Zahn media availability on meeting between the Federal and Provincial Health Ministers
TORONTO, Oct. 18, 2016 /CNW/ - On Tuesday the Federal and Provincial Health Ministers will be meeting in Toronto to discuss progress towards a new Health Accord to provide stable funding for healthcare in Canada. CAMH President and CEO Dr. Catherine Zahn believes this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to make mental health a core part of those discussions.
Dr. Zahn is available to speak to the media about what has to be done to make sure Canadians dealing with mental illness get the help they need and deserve. She can explain why a new Health Accord must include, for the first time, a stand-alone investment in mental health.
Wait lists are growing. People are in pain. Lives are being lost. Dr. Zahn believes strongly that we can't let inaction fail another generation of Canadians.
