MEDIA ADVISORY - Canada's CAs recognize excellence in corporate reporting on

TORONTO, Nov. 19 /CNW/ - Companies that exemplify best practices in corporate reporting will be honoured next week by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) at the Corporate Reporting Awards in Toronto.
The awards have recognized excellence in corporate reporting in Canada for the past 59 years. They are presented annually and reflect the CA profession's dedication to enhancing the quality of financial reporting in the country.
Awards of Excellence for 10 industry sectors will be presented. In addition, separate awards and honourable mentions will be given to companies for financial reporting, corporate governance disclosure, electronic disclosure and sustainable development reporting.
Awards of Excellence for large and small federal and provincial Crown corporations also will be presented.
The 2010 edition of the Corporate Reporting Awards are sponsored by Ernst & Young, PwC, the Toronto Stock Exchange and Listed magazine.
A publication of the judges' comments will be distributed following the luncheon ceremony.
