Media Advisory - Canada's Dominion Astrophysical Observatory celebrates its 100th anniversary Français
VICTORIA, May 1, 2018 /CNW/ - To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Plaskett Telescope and the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory (DAO), Iain Stewart, President of the National Research Council of Canada, along with staff and friends of the DAO, will hold a centennial celebration.
The Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada plaque will be unveiled, designating the observatory a national historic site. Spokespeople will be available on site for interviews.
Parking is limited. Media are advised to identify themselves to the Commissionaire onsite at the highway entrance, for directions to parking reserved for media.
