MEDIA ADVISORY - Canada's elite business leaders help grant wishes at Bay Street Fore a Cau$e
PICKERING, ON, Sept. 6, 2013 /CNW/ - Some of Canada's top business leaders and companies are uniting to help grant wishes for children coping with a life threatening illness. Bay Street Fore a Cau$e (BSFC) has chosen The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada as this year's recipient of the 10th Anniversary Golf Tournament. The event will be held on Monday, September 9th at the Weston Golf and Country Club in Toronto.
Children's Wish is dedicated to granting the most heartfelt wish to children between the ages of three to 17, coping with a life threatening illness. Bay Street Fore a Cau$e Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation guided by a group of Bay Street professionals and supported by major institutions, professional firms and corporations, with the goal of raising funding through exclusive events that will have a meaningful impact on the lives of youth in the G.T.A.
BSFC is hoping to raise $100,000 during the charity event in order to help grant up to 10 wishes for children, through Children's Wish. Major League Baseball star Joe Carter is participating in the event and will be auctioned off as part of a foursome during the day. The event will feature live and silent auctions.
"We are extremely grateful to be partnering with Bay Street Fore a Cau$e," said Sandra Harris, Director, Ontario Region. "It is because of dedicated supporters like all those involved with BSFC that we are able to help so many children realize their most heartfelt wish."
