Media Advisory - Canadian Diabetes Association and MedicAlert® Foundation Canada partner to keep children living with diabetes safe
TORONTO, June 25, 2014 /CNW/ - More than 1,600 youth attending the Canadian Diabetes Association's (CDA's) national D-Camps this summer can receive a special free MedicAlert bracelet thanks to a new partnership between the CDA and the MedicAlert Foundation Canada (MAFCA).
In addition, more than three million Canadians living with diabetes will also benefit from this partnership through a similar MedicAlert promotion.
CDA D-Camps are the only ones offered across Canada for children living with type 1 diabetes. The 12 camps provide a unique experience for children aged seven to 15. Along with a fun experience, the campers learn to become independent in managing their diabetes with the support of a professional medical team.
