Media Advisory - Canadian Nurses Association and Canadian Medical Association in Halifax during Council of the Federation meetings
OTTAWA, July 19, 2012 /CNW/ - Leaders of the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) and Canadian Medical Association (CMA) will be in Halifax July 25th to 27th while the Council of the Federation holds its 2012 summer meetings. Both CNA and CMA have been working with the premiers on the Health Care Innovation Working Group.
CNA and CMA representatives will be available for media interviews to provide a front-line caregiver perspective on the working group's report to the premiers, a potentially critical next step in transforming Canada's health-care system so that it puts patients first.
In July 2011, CNA and CMA jointly developed a set of principles to guide Canada's premiers as they map out a transformation of the health-care system. Read the complete Principles to Guide Health Care Transformation in Canada.
