Media Advisory - Canadian Paralympic Committee Will Recognize Heroes of the
Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games

OTTAWA, Oct. 18 /CNW/ - On October 23rd, the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) will proudly host its first Awards Ceremony to celebrate the significant accomplishments of the athletes, coaches, and key stakeholders who made the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games an outstanding moment in Canadian sport history.

Six prestigious awards will be presented:

    
    -   Best Male Athlete Award
    -   Best Female Athlete Award
    -   Best Debut Award
    -   Best Team Award
    -   Tim Frick Paralympic Coach Excellence Award
    -   Para-Development Coach Award
    

The Canadian Paralympic Committee is at an exciting juncture in its history and will be hosting this celebration as part of the 2010 Canadian Paralympic Congress. We hope you will be in attendance to help us celebrate this historic moment.
