Media Advisory - Canadians tell Lisa Raitt no more postal cuts

OTTAWA, Dec. 17, 2013 /CNW/ -   

What:	CUPW will deliver thousands of postcards to Lisa Raitt from Canadians who are angry that Canada Post is closing and downsizing public post offices. The union will also protest Canada Post's plans to close more post offices in favour of franchises, hike postage rates to unaffordable levels for charities, small businesses and others, and make our country the first in the world to eliminate door-to-door delivery.
Who:	Donald Lafleur, 4^th National Vice-President will make remarks, and postal workers will deliver the postcards to Minister Raitt's office.
When:	December 18, 10:30 a.m.
Where:	Lisa Raitt's constituency office, 86 Main Street East, Milton, Ontario, L9T 1N3
