MONTREAL, Feb. 16, 2012 /CNW/ - The CAW has bargained a tentative agreement with Air Canada for 46 Flight Operations Crew Schedulers based in Montreal, after six months of challenging negotiations. The crew schedulers are represented by CAW Local 2002.
The tentative agreement was reached early this morning, weeks after members voted overwhelming in favour of taking strike action, if necessary. The collective agreement had expired on May 22.
A ratification meeting is scheduled for Friday, February 17 in Montreal.
Details of the agreement will be released once the members have ratified the new agreement.
This is the second agreement reached between the CAW and Air Canada in the past week. Unionized in-flight crew schedulers overwhelmingly ratified a new 4-year agreement on February 15.
