On April 20 ("4/20") Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse (CCSA) subject-matter experts are available to respond to media inquiries related to cannabis policy, proposed federal legislation and impaired driving. |
Cannabis is an important research and policy priority for CCSA. Since 2009, CCSA has made significant contributions to the knowledge about the health impacts of cannabis to support an evidence-informed, public health approach to cannabis regulation. |

Dr. Beirness has published extensively in the areas of drug and alcohol-impaired driving. He also serves as chair of the Transportation Research Board Committee on Alcohol, Other Drugs and Transportation, and is vice-chair of the Drugs and Driving Committee of the Canadian Society of Forensic Science. |
