Alexander to Welcome 21 New Canadians in a Pre-Game Ceremony
OTTAWA, Oct. 24, 2013 /CNW/ - Canada's Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander will welcome 21 new citizens from 10 different countries at a special citizenship ceremony in partnership with Canadian Tire, right before this Sunday's Ottawa Senators game. The new citizens will also be welcomed on the ice during pre-game ceremonies.
Canada's Citizenship Week (October 21-27) is a celebration of what it means to be Canadian, including our rights and responsibilities as citizens.

Please note:
Media wishing to attend the citizenship ceremony must be accredited and confirm their attendance by 2:00pm ET on Friday, October 25 by calling CIC media relations.
Unless specifically requested in advance, media attending the ceremony will not be permitted to stay for the hockey game.
Photography and video are permitted during the ceremony only.
Photography and video are not permitted 30 minutes prior to and during the game.
