TORONTO, Sept. 19, 2012 /CNW/ - Canadian and European experts will offer their outlooks for the global economy, international markets and politics at the Annual Forecast Dinner presented by CFA Society Toronto. This year's theme, "May We Live in Less Interesting Times", covers economic and political landscapes as policy-makers around the world continue efforts to stabilize the global economy.

Warren Jestin
Senior Vice President & Chief Economist, Scotiabank
Dr. Warren Jestin will give his forecast for Canadian and international economies. He is Scotiabank's Chief Economist and has been with the Bank since 1979. Previously, Dr. Jestin worked at the Bank of Canada and has taught at several Canadian universities. He serves on advisory boards for the College of Management and Economics at the University of Guelph and the Sobey School of Business at St. Mary's University.
Paul Mortimer-Lee
Global Head of Market Economics, BNP Paribas
Paul Mortimer-Lee joins us from London to share his predictions for global market performance in 2013, and address global and European economic issues and their relation to Canadian markets. He is responsible for the global economic coverage of BNP Paribas' team of market economists and has worked for the bank since 1995. He is a regular columnist for the Nikkei newspaper and frequent media commentator.
Ezra Levant
TV Anchor, Newspaper Columnist and Author
Ezra Levant will speak on Canadian financial markets, particularly in relation to Canada's oil industry, and politics in light of the upcoming U.S. presidential election. After graduating from law school, Mr. Levant acted as a parliamentary assistant to Preston Manning. He later joined The National Post as a national and Middle East affairs correspondent and is the author of two books, including Ethical Oil: The Case for Canada's Oilsands, which won the 2011 National Business Book Award. This spring, he joined Sun TV as the host of a daily news commentary show, The Source.
