Canadian Paralympic Committee counts down the days to London with special school presentation by Lord Sebastian Coe
QUÉBEC, May 19, 2012 /CNW/ - The Chair of the London Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), Lord Sebastian Coe, will be visiting St. Vincent School on Wed. May 23 to talk with local children about the upcoming Paralympic Games being held in London in less than 100 days, from August 29 to September 9, 2012.
Lord Coe, a four-time Olympic medalist who won gold medals in the 1,500 metres at the 1980 and 1984 Olympics, is in Québec City for the 2012 SportAccord Convention.
He will be accompanied by two Canadian athletes -- Pierre Mainville, a Paralympic fencer (St-Colomban, QC), and Sarah Mailhot (Québec, QC), a para-swimmer and a London2012 hopeful -- as well as Henry Storgaard, the CEO of the Canadian Paralympic Committee, to introduce Paralympic sports to Canadian youth in anticipation of the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
