Media Advisory - Children's Wish Celebrates the First of Six Wishes Now In The Works In Amherst
AMHERST, NS, July 4, 2014 /CNW/ - On Tuesday, July 8th at 11:30 a.m., The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada will be celebrating with wish child Natasha, who has just received her wish and has been able to kick off the summer with fun.
The Children's Wish Foundation is currently working on six wishes in the Amherst area and Natasha is the first of these to receive her wish.
Fourteen-year-old Natasha is diagnosed with severe Cerebral Palsy and is unable to move easily in her day-to-day life. Her wish was an at home entertainment system for her and her family to be able to enjoy time together.
Her wish includes a wide screen 50" TV so that she is able to enjoy her favorite show Land Before Time, and listen to country music with her sister. Natasha is the sixth child in the Amherst area to be granted a wish by The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.
Natasha and her family, along with a representative from The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada will be celebrating Natasha's wish. Media are invited to the family's home to join the celebration of one of the sixth wishes that are currently being granted in Amherst.

The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada
Each year, thousands of Canadian children between the ages of three and 17 are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Since 1984, The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada has worked tirelessly to grant exceptional wishes to over 20,000 children and their families.
This year, the Foundation expects to grant 1,000 new wishes and is proud to have never refused a wish to an eligible child, and with the help of volunteers and generous donors, is able to grant nearly three wishes every day. Each wish is an individual adventure, carefully structured to meet the needs of a particular child and family. The Foundation is a grassroots charity with chapters in every province and territory.
