Media Advisory - Christmas trees to be distributed at the Valcartier
Community Centre

VALCARTIER GARRISON, QC, Dec. 4 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to be present as the Deployment Support Group distributes Christmas trees to military families.

A total of 1,500 Christmas trees will be given away to families of currently deployed Canadian Forces (CF) members or of CF members who were deployed in 2009. The trees were donated by the Association des producteurs d'arbres de Noël du Québec ( Quebec Christmas tree growers' association) and transported by Canadian National (CN).

    
    When: December 5, 2009, at 10:30 a.m.
    Where: Parking lot of the Community Centre, Building 93.
    

The Deployment Support Group will be distributing the trees from December 5 to December 8, 2009 . They invite the families of deployed CF members to come and pick up a tree at the Community Centre.

Josée Verner, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister responsible for the Quebec City region, will be present on December 5 at 10:30 a.m. to help distribute the Christmas trees to military families.
