Media Advisory - CIRI Ontario Luncheon Seminar - A View From The Buy Side

TORONTO, April 29, 2013 /CNW/ - Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) Ontario Chapter, will be providing a luncheon seminar on Tuesday April 30, 2013 which provides Investment Relations Officers with a View From The Buy Side.  Managing money and making investment decisions is never easy, but with significant global macro-economic uncertainty, high stock market volatility and a jittery investing public, the job of a buy-side portfolio manager today is especially challenging. And for an IRO, this makes getting their attention even more difficult. A panel of portfolio managers will share their views on how these challenges have affected their funds and their investment decisions, and highlight steps that IROs should take to get their company noticed. Panelists for this luncheon are: Peter Imhof, Investment Strategist with Sprott Asset Management and Michael Simpson, Vice-President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Sentry Investments.
