Media Advisory - Cisco and TO2015 to Unveil Official Countdown Clock for TORONTO 2015 Games at Toronto's Nathan Phillips Square Français
Made-in-Canada technological wonder to kick-off two-day festival celebrating the One-Year Countdown
TORONTO, July 11, 2014 /CNW/ - What: In celebration of the one-year countdown to the beginning of the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games, Cisco, the Official Information and Communications Technology Partner and TO2015 will unveil the Cisco TORONTO 2015 Countdown Clock at Nathan Phillips Square.
Following a dramatic unveiling ceremony, the innovative clock will count down the remaining days, hours, minutes and seconds to the Opening Ceremony for both the Pan Am and Parapan Am Games.
The Cisco TORONTO 2015 Countdown Clock will be unlike any previous Games countdown clock - it will be an interactive social media platform that will demonstrate the power of the "Internet of Everything".
The unveiling also features a Department of National Defense Griffin helicopter fly-over and an appearance by Cirque du Soleil, Creative Partner for the Pan Am Games Opening Ceremony. The event is immediately followed by two days of free activities including athlete demonstrations, sports activations, dancing lessons, a visual art battle and live musical performances featuring Walk off the Earth and Machel Montano all culminating in a breathtaking display of Fireworks. The full schedule of events is available at www.toronto2015.org/one-year/schedule.
