Media Advisory - CivicAction Celebrates 10 Years Of Collective Leadership On Toronto Region's Toughest Challenges
Ten "Faces of CivicAction" To Be Unveiled At Anniversary Celebration
TORONTO, Nov. 26, 2012 /CNW/ - After a decade of driving collective action to tackle our region's toughest economic, social, and environmental challenges, the Greater Toronto CivicAction Alliance marks its tenth year anniversary at a breakfast event this Tuesday. The event will also name ten "Faces of CivicAction" - leaders from across the Toronto region and from the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors who symbolize the rich cross-section of volunteers that have contributed to the impact CivicAction and its initiatives have had on the region's prosperity.
Many of the Toronto region's established and emerging civic leaders will attend the event, including 100 DiverseCity Fellows - rising city-builders who were selected and have participated over the last four years in an intensive program to accelerate their leadership and enhance their abilities to collaborate across sectors. A panel of leaders will look to the future of the Greater Toronto region and share their views on opportunities to seize for a more prosperous region with thriving people and places.
