Michael Coteau, Minister of Children and Youth Services, plus an intimate conversation with youth with lived insight on the issue.

- Sevaun Palvetzian, CEO, CivicAction
- Zabeen Hirji, Chair, CivicAction
- Employer involved with HireNext
- A youth who will benefit from proposed changes
WHAT: CivicAction will be launching its HireNext platform. We believe it's time for new HR practice for a new talent pipeline. Come be one of the first people to see these new quick, easy and free tools that aim to transform how employers hire and recruit youth HR and learn about the employers that have already committed to taking action.
WHERE: Globe and Mail Centre, 351 King Street East - Level 17, Toronto, ON M5A 0N1
WHEN: Wednesday, April 18th, 2018
Event remarks will start at 8:30 a.m. and run until 9:30 a.m.
WHY: Despite the growing supply and demand for young talent, youth and employers aren't always finding each other. Ontario has over 300,000 youth not in employment, education or training. At the same time, 70% of employers say their biggest challenge to filling entry-level roles was finding applicants. These new tools will help bridge this gap.
