Media Advisory - CMA to release recommendations on assisted dying to guide health ministers Français
VANCOUVER, Jan. 19, 2016 /CNW/ - Canadian Medical Association (CMA) President Dr. Cindy Forbes will be in Vancouver Jan. 20-21 to meet with provincial and territorial health ministers to discuss the CMA's Principles-based Recommendations for a Canadian Approach to Assisted Dying.
Dr. Forbes and Dr. Charles Webb, President of Doctors of BC, will brief ministers on the physician perspective concerning the need for a national legislative approach to physician-assisted dying.
The CMA's briefing will be held in parallel to the federal-provincial-territorial health ministers meeting, where ministers from across the country will meet their federal counterpart, Dr. Jane Philpott.
